Throwback! Legally Blonde Drama

The hottest new musical, Legally Blonde, has screened here at Shanghai American School on December 6th and 7th and it must have some spicy spicy tea for us to sip on.

As many may know, the actors did a brilliant job at displaying their skills and their vocal chops, but did you know there might be some behind-the-scenes work being done? The main cast did a phenomenal job of bringing Elle, Emmett, Warner, Vivian, Paulette, and Professor Callahan to life. And undeniably I cannot see anyone else but Cas as the hot, sexy, Irishman. But some rumors have been floating around that some actors are unfairly cast (but they did all equally well).

According to some underground searching, the majority of the cast thinks some people are dragging the show behind. A week before the show was screened, someone from the cast thought that the show was not at performance level. Why? Well, supposedly, there is a member of the cast who would show up to rehearsal, with the script in hand and nose buried deep in it while acting, a week before the performance. Moreover, some cast members would just not show up to rehearsals, without any good excuse. Leaving the people, who did come prepared, without an acting partner and causing the whole production to slow down.

The cast is not the only group with hot tea, the pit band also has tea but quite noticeably lukewarm. The pit conductor, Ms. Borodenko, loves to bake for her musicians but allegedly she has baked cookies for all but one. Did she do this on purpose? Or did she genuinely forget?
