As the Lunar New Year holidays approach, our school is buzzing with excitement! The PE department is bringing the festivities to life with fervent lion dancers, impressive Kung Fu masters, and three magnificent, flashing dragons.

For three weeks, students from every grade have dedicated themselves to mastering a traditional Chinese practice, and their hard work will culminate in a spectacular performance at the Lunar New Year Assembly.

In a recent interview, the Dragon Dance instructor shared the profound cultural significance behind the art. He explained that these three movements are more than just a performance; they are a living link to thousands of years of Chinese history, embodying the essence of each era they have passed through. This dedication to preserving tradition is a testament to the resilience and richness of Chinese culture.

The celebration extends beyond the dragon dance. Our talented dance students have been rehearsing a diverse array of regional styles, including a piece from the Tibetan highlands of Southwestern China. The stunning, traditional costumes will transport the audience to these far-off lands. Adding to the vibrant tapestry of the show, other classes have prepared the lively and elegant classical handkerchief dance.

Get ready for a performance brimming with the spirit and beauty of Chinese cultural heritage!
