Reactions to IB Extended Essay Deadline

By Ryan Strong IB students at Shanghai American school recently had a deadline (on November seventh) for their EE or Extend Essay. This is a four-thousand-word essay that has students write about a topic within one of their areas of study or related to multiple areas of study. The way students dealt with the deadline differed: some students turned their Extended Essay in within the deadline, while others asked for extensions from their teachers. New Voice Children’s Choir: A Choir for Shanghai’s Migrant Children

By Cynthia Wang Every Sunday, from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM, the New Voice Children’s Choir (NVCC) rehearses near Sanlin, Shanghai. “It started with a woman named Carol who was involved in children’s choirs in the US and, through her connections with Stepping Stones, an outreach program, created a music enrichment program for migrant children,” said Alicia Knox, the current English choir instructor for the NVCC, having moved to Shanghai a year later.
