Students Disagree on STUCO’s White Valentine’s Day Grams

On March 7th, Junior Student Council announced on the PA that they will be selling White Valentine’s Day candy and rose grams to students during high school flexi and lunch on both Thursday and Friday. The event was received relatively well, with junior Student Council receiving around 2480 rmb in revenue and approximately 1300 rmb in profit. However, the SAS Pudong High School student population has differing opinions on the event. On JPAC Basketball–JV Teams Look Back on the Season

By Michelle Huang In the last few months of 2018, SASPD participated in APAC Basketball, Table Tennis, and Forensics. This year, SASPD hosted Junior Varsity APAC Basketball, a tournament in which up to six different schools participated for the championships. Although this might just mean exciting Flex periods and a convenient excuse to cut down on class time for non-participating students, these APAC events hold a common significance to all athletes––a final milestone of all the shared efforts and memories accumulated over the past few months. FCD Survey Results Revealed: Clearing Misunderstandings

Results for last November’s FCD Survey on the school’s use of drugs and alcohol were released in January 2019. During the grade level meeting on January 15th, Dr. Lee and other counselors revealed some results. Although the presentation covered several important points, it is challenging to cover a 250-page-long report in 50 minutes. This Year’s Alumni Panel: Not New, Not Diverse, but Applicable

By Grace Deng and Gabrielle Zhu SASPD’s College Counseling and Alumni and Development departments hosted the annual alumni panel during the community meeting on Tuesday. According to Director of College Counseling Mindy Rose, the panel is meant to “help SAS students begin to imagine what their post-high school lives could look like” and “put perspective around the college process.” While last year’s alumni panel was larger, comprised of alumni from Australia and the UK, this year’s panel was just three alumni: Andrea Jeng, Katrina Cherk, and Mikas Hansen.
